Dee Kelly Funeral Fund

Of all of the titles Dee Kelly held in her lifetime - daughter, wife, mom, cashier, Denver Broncos fan, friend - Grandma was the one she was most proud of. She never missed a family event and a chance to spend time with her grandkids. When a pandemic kept them apart she commented on every post, “hearted” every picture, and continued to connect with family through video calls and social distance visits. As soon as restrictions were lifted, she was back with her family, enjoying the laughter and love of her grandkids.

 

 

 

 

The day before Mother’s Day, when the family should have been planning celebrations, Dee was unexpectedly hospitalized for a lung infection. Unable to fight the infection even with the best of care, one week later Dee passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She will be remembered by her husband Tom; her children Michelle, David, and Catherine; her grandchildren Amelia, Eowyn, and Ezran; her siblings Carl, Jimmy, and MJ; her best friend Linda; and the many others who considered her friend and family.

 

As a friend of the family I started this GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial burden on Dee’s family as they navigate the territory of planning an unexpected funeral while grieving their loved one. Donations will help Tom and family cover final expenses including medical and funeral charges without going into debt themselves. Anything you are able to give in this difficult situation would be greatly appreciated.

A service will be held at Crossroads Church in Thornton on June 25th at 10 am.
