i, my name is Barb and I'm a friend of Dee's. As you know Dee has worked at the Variety Store for such a long time and is a well loved member of the community. About a year ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to take time off and go through treatment. Luckily that treatment helped. But, recently she went to the doctor for a pinched nerve in her neck. It seems that her bone is deteriorating and will need to be reconstructed. On top of that they've done tests to see if the growth there is cancer or not. She is currently awaiting the results. She is in a lot of pain and forced to wear a large body brace. Dee has also had to stop working (until this can get resolved. She is faced with lost wages and mounting medical bills. She will learn in a few days if it is in fact cancer as well. Any assistance you can give her would be great. She would love any donations. gift cards to restaurants / groceries or just prayers. She is grateful for any of it.
