Donation protected
Dear friends,

An Augusta family is grieving after the tragic car accident that claimed the life of Aredeanna (Dee) Bennington Basset, it is with the most heart-wrenching regret that we mourn the passing of Dee, her beloved boyfriend John Brennan and their sweet puppy, Loki.

The accident happened on Haverhill road and Southwest 50th late Saturday night. Dee was hardworking, she recently completed her certificate for manufacturing aircraft and began worked at Textron Aviation. Over the past few years she grew exponentially, she was kicking ass and was truly living her best life! She taught her children to love themselves and transformed into the best role model for them.

This is undoubtedly a great loss to any and all people who knew her, she had a kind heart and genuine love for people. Dee was an exceptional woman and the most delightful soul most of us have ever had the chance to meet in this life.

She is survived by; her parents, Donnita and Glenn Bennington of Augusta, KS; her grandparents, Roy and Gwen Tucker of El Dorado , KS; daughters Brooke Basset of Wichita, KS, Regan Bassett of Anchorage, AK, July Bassett of Augusta, KS; son, Miles Bassett of El Dorado, KS; brothers, Allen Bennington and wife Deborah of Augusta, KS, Troy Bennington and wife Kristy of Wichita, KS; Grandchild, Danford Wineinger III; nephews, Staton Bennington, Jacob Littrell, Drew Bennington, Cole Bennington, Stephen Stockert, Joshua Stockert, Ethan Wells; nieces, Jami Rutherford, Stephanie Marr; Numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Please keep her family in your thoughts so they can find comfort in each other and the priceless memories they shared with her.

No, this isn’t fair. Thank you to all of her friends, please remember all the good times! She was full of life and breathed it into everyone around her.

A memorial service will be held for her at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13th at First Christian Church, Augusta, KS. The family asks that those who attend wear rock T-shirts because Dee was a lover of rock music.

Any financial donations, big or small, will make a huge difference.

Thank you,

Jami Rutherford
