Dedrick Girley Memorial Expense Fund

The family of Coach Dedrick Girley would like to invite you to attend a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life. Coach Dedrick had a profound impact on the community and we know he was loved dearly.

During these heartbreaking times, we want to encourage you to lean on each other. The family takes great comfort in hearing the incredible stories and memories that he touched hearts with. There will be a reception held after the servvice, where you are all invited to share the impact he has had on you individually.

The Memorial will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1975 Chestnut Ave, Carlsbad, CA 92008

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the pole vault community, which he was unyieldingly dedicated to. Dedrick was a proud father of 6 children. The U.S. Marine owned his own computer business called The Future Unlimited for over 18 years. He was an avid photographer and videographer whose favorite subject was the pole vault. He helped countless athletes perfect their jumps using his stick figure hand demos and hours of available vault videos on Youtube. He invited the entire SD county to come to La Costa Canyon to vault in the Friday Night Vaults Series, which allowed vaulters to continue their seasons into the summer. But most importantly, Dedrick was the always smiling, helpful coach at the pit, willing to help anyone improve their jump.

 

The Funds raised on this Go Fund Me site are to be used to offset the memorial and funeral expenses.
