Dedicate a Zoo Bench to Gpa & Mimi

Grandpa Frank & Mimi were incredible people who loved their family dearly. One way that they expressed this love was by taking their grandchildren to the Detroit Zoo. After Grandpa's passing, many of his children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren went to the zoo in his honor. While there, we realized that we would always remember Grandpa and Mimi warmly when at the zoo, and felt it would be meaningful to have a permanent memorial to them there. Thus the idea of  the Frank & Marion Daignault Memorial Bench was born.

We are hoping to raise $2500 to dedicate a bench in the zoo in Mimi & Grandpa's name. The bench will have a plaque engraved with, "In loving memory of Frank & Marion Daignault" on it, and will provide us all a place to sit, reflect and feel Mimi & Grandpa's presence & love when at the zoo.

The bench will remain dedicated to Mimi & Grandpa indefinitely. We are able to choose any bench currently in the zoo without a plaque on it. We were thinking we would look for a bench near the bear fountain, or near a favorite animal exhibit of Mimi & Grandpa. If you have other ideas of what the engraving should say, or near which area of the zoo we should choose a bench, we are open to suggestions.
