help me get to camp america
so for those who don’t know i work at the reach foundation and once a year reach and camp america offer one special person from reach a scholarship to make the trek to america to work on summer camp for kids in low social economical circumstances. for 2016, i was the lucky guy to get this.it has been an absolute dream of mine to achieve this, years in the making! working with young people who may have hit harder times and even the kids who havent, my aim is to work and give every kid the best possible camp. These kids deserve the love and care and enjoyable experience like everyone does.
so thats my aim, get to camp and give some of these kids the best possible experience and for them to leave camp feeling a little bit better than they did leading into it. to the other side its been my dream to get to the states since i can remember, i probably wouldn’t have been going if it wasn’t for the scholarship.
this is where you can not only help support me in doing this but in a weird way help said young people.
as i said yes, i do have a scholar ship but that only gets me so far. my placement and visa is paid for by camp. but things such as general travel to from and around camp, eating, equiptment, plus the genreal necessities (blankets, pillows, overall living things )
and to of course do some very long awaited sight seeing. working at reach is something i love and am passionate about, i put all my time and love into working there, but as anyone who works at a charity would know, the pay isn’t great (even though i don’t do it for the money ) along with rent, bills and every other stupid expense that comes with being a young adult. so this is where it gets tricky, I need some support, some funding, some nice little donations. without your help, this trip won’t be the dream experience for me or the young people. every bit helps.
this means the absolute world to me and would mean the absolute world to me if you can help contribute in anyway you can.
