If you've ever been in a room with Declan Fish, you know it the moment he walks in. He is sweet, empathetic, and always silly. He is the kind of kid who lights up every room he enters and somehow makes everyone around him feel like the most important person there. He is 10 years old, and in those short years, he has shown more courage than most of us will need in a lifetime.

At age 2, Declan was diagnosed with brain cancer. At age 4, it came back. He has Li Fraumeni Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that predisposes him to multiple cancers throughout his life. He has endured 14 brain surgeries, 6 months of harsh chemotherapy, and 6 weeks of daily radiation, including a hemispherectomy that, while it saved his life, left him with quite a bit of challenges. He has faced every single one of these battles with grace and resilience.

Recently, a new brainstem tumor has been discovered, likely DIPG, an aggressive and fatal pediatric brain cancer. The Fish family is awaiting final pathology and preparing for another 6 weeks of radiation to help slow the tumor and improve the quality of life for as long as possible.

Declan's most asked question these days is "When can we see my cousins?" With family in North Carolina and Ohio, it's not as easy as we'd like, but his love for his cousins is the sweetest thing.

Declan's story reminds us that every day is a gift and every person can make an impact. While the Fish family waits for the next phase chapter of their story to be written, they want to seize the right now and spend time making memories, giving Declan a chance to be with his cousins and go to the happiest place on earth- Disneyland.

Declan went to Disneyland as his Make A Wish when he was 3, but due to his hemispherectomy he has no memory of that trip so it will be as if it's his first time all over again!

Because of the grand and last minute nature of this, we're hoping to raise enough money to send their whole family, cousins included, 18 people in all.
