Decking the Halls for Terrie Sady

My mom, Terrie Sady was recently diagnosed with cancer of the appendix - a rare cancer diagnosed less than 1,000 times a year in the United States. She was diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) which means there is a collection of mucin in her abdominal cavity that must be removed with surgery. This surgery is major and can be extensive. She will also be receiving chemotherapy for treatment of the remaining cancer cells in the mucin. This cancer is treatable with a high survival rate. While we remain in good spirits and stay positive with the future treatment, it does mean that she will be out of work for the holidays. We hope that through this page we can collect donations for future bills, and some relief of stressing about Christmas.

As we all know, my mom is a fighter. She has remained happy and positive through this entire diagnosis. On Monday, November 21st she heads to Worcester, MA for her consult with her surgeon that will perform her next surgery. We don't know anything further beyond that she needs surgery.
