DECA is an international association of high school and college students. The organization prepares leaders and entrepreneurs for careers and education in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and other business areas. One notable aspect of DECA is its competitive nature. Students from all over the country compete against each other - individually or with partners - in events at state and international levels. These events range from giving business presentations, to solving industry-specific logistical problems. DECA hosts two competitions: States and Internationals. Each of us is responsible for the money needed to attend the International Conference in Anaheim California in April of 2017.

This year at States in Miami Florida, our team placed 1st Place in Advertising Campaign, 1st Place in Marketing Management, 1st Place in Event Planning
1st Place in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, 2nd Place in Business-to-Business, and Top 10 in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Business, International Marketing, and Human Resource Management.

We are asking you for a donation to help us compete in April. With your contribution, we will be able to present our business plans at the International Conference in 2017. You can help us take the next step toward our future. In conclusion, in order to attend the competition, including airfare, hotel rooms, and the registration fee for participating in the competition, we are aiming to raise a grand total of $10,000.
