Decades of Pain: A Path to Recovery

Since I fell onto a large ceramic planter that I was carrying at the age of 3, I have had recurring infections in my sinuses and adjacent skin areas. I am finally having a series of reconstructive surgeries in Indianapolis to help me breathe and eat freely and soon afterward, receive safe dental surgery.

I've been suffering from these damaging infections for several decades.

12 years ago (April, 2013) my little brother Jamie and my best friend Liz stayed by my side as we were sent (for the same issues) to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN, but the lead surgeon missed our last appointment of the week, and we were sent home heartbroken.

My home was also recently diagnosed with a sinkhole (Dec. 20, 2015) that is not covered by State Farm Insurance, costing tens of thousands in repairs and still threatens the property, physically and financially.

I am excited to begin this new healing journey, and to have been accepted as worthy of such efforts, after all these decades. I also suffer from severe scoliosis with 2 aortal aneuysms and a hernia that add to the scoliosis complications. I have had lung surgery to remove 5 empyemas from the inside of my right lung, after decades of repeated pneumonia since birth.

There will be 7 trips from Northeastern Indiana to Indianapolis University Health Care Center and also Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Insurance (United Health Care) denied any payment for these trips, even though I have asked them and several other senior transportation agencies on several different occasions.

Please help me pay for medical transportation for 7-8 trips, if possible. I am grateful for any amount you can give! We will need to cover gas, meals, and hotel rooms for the nights before several of the early morning surgeries.

Please help me finally improve my breathing, consuming of solid foods, and overall health, a MEDICAL NECESSITY according to my ENT and my dental surgeon. Bless you! ♥️
