Deb's Home Burned Down—Need Help

I'm Kathy Edwards, sister of Deb Reno. Since we were toddlers, my younger sister and I have been best friends. Born in California, we moved to many places growing up. I am now a senior living in Canada, and Debbie ended up back in California. A few weeks ago Deb broke a bone in her foot, and after getting an X-ray was heading back to her home in Pacific Palisades when she saw the smoke rising from her neighborhood. Hearing on the radio that the fire was spreading quickly, she tried to get to her home to recover her passport and other documents but was unable to reach her street. Fortunately her beloved Golden Retriever, Leah, was with her in the car. Deb made it to safety, but watched on the news as her neighborhood, and her home, burned to the ground. Not only were her possessions lost, but a few days later her car broke down with an expensive repair bill. She is struggling to regain her footing and will need to start completely over again at this stage of life.

While we cannot replace what has been lost, we can support her as she navigates this challenging time.
