Deb was our mum and we found out almost 9 years ago she had renal cell carcinoma. On the day she told us the news we felt like our world had ended but not mum. She used to say I’m living with this now and I will always stay positive and love my life and she really did.

Fast forward 9 years, 5 grandchildren and so many brilliant memories mum loved every moment.

We were so lucky to have these extra years with mum due to her determination, passion, and just a huge love for her family, but we also owe a huge amount of thanks to the medical teams that cared for mum during her illness. Without the outstanding care from her nurses, carers, oncologists, GPs, surgeons and many more mums last years would have been much harder.

In honour of our mum Deb and all the medical staff that provided care for her we wanted to make a donation to The Garden Suite at the Alexandra Hospital.

We miss you and love you mum, your bravery and strength will live on in us all
