Debra Strong

Thank you all for taking the time to read about my dad's current situation I truly hope he can get some peace after all of this. Decided I would try to help my Dad out the best way I could by setting him an account to help pay for his wife's cremation. After roughly 10 weeks of not being home to spend the holidays with her family due to spending those weeks between the hospital, ICU and rehab, Debra Strong passed away on the morning of December 30, 2022. Unfortunately, this was totally unexpected and nobody was prepared for this tragedy. Here is a little background information (via my dad):

Debra was a selfless person who dedicated her life to helping whoever needed help. She was an accountant by trade; however, she refused to raise the cost of her services because she wanted to be as affordable as possible. During this time, she had been diagnosed with Diabetes and was classified as a brittle, type-one diabetic. (We are not going to go completely in-depth with the description of the effects on her body; however, let's just say it was a life filled with pain, illness, hospitals, and multiple complications such as an intestinal disease that started shutting down her organs, causing more pain and suffering as this happened. She NEVER wanted pity or shame.) She is survived by now, with 2 adult children from her first marriage along with her husband and their 2 adult children as well as 2 adult stepchildren.
She and her second husband of 24 years decided they were going to homeschool the children that remained school-age because she wanted the best for the children. She donated her time to the Salvation Army ringing the bell every season because she wanted to help all that she could. She tirelessly donated her time and energy to helping everyone she could how she could. She already had an accounting degree and continued getting her degrees in business management. While attempting to finish her education, she fell really ill and couldn't finish.
She had also attempted to start her own non-profit organization (she knew that animals were being experimented on in a cruel fashion and wanted to do something about it) and was in the process of getting others who shared her same interests on board to help her. Again, something she was not able to accomplish.
While helping others and dedicating her life to helping others, she was unable to have health insurance that could help with her disease properly. Additionally, she never had the money to purchase life insurance that would take care of final expenses. As a direct result of dedicating her life to helping others, money was VERY hard to come by in her house. Many times she was in danger of having to make the hard decisions as to eating, paying bills, saving money for any unforeseen circumstances, ect. She was never able to say any money and barely pay her bills, and as such, some remained unpaid. Her passing has been devastating to her family and all who cared about her.

We ask for any help we can get in this time, all is greatly appreciated!
All donations will undoubtedly go towards Deb's cremation to bring her home, a Celebration of life and ALL unpaid medical bills.
