Time for Healing for Deborah's Family
Donation protected
My name is Allen Korenstein, and I am from Felton, CA. This campaign is on behalf of my recently departed spouse Deborah Korenstein. We will be using funds raised for funeral expenses and therapy and other child care related expenses. Funds will be withdrawn on Deborah's behalf and transferred directly to the relevant parties.
Those of you who have been following Deborah’s story know how challenging her journey has been. Deborah was been battling acute myeloid leukemia (AML) for the last few years. She and her family have endured with courage, forbearance and love.
Sadly, the Leukemia is a dangerous enemy, and although the Deborah pursued another round of treatment following a resurgence of this very aggressive and cunning disease, she passed away on June 23, 2020.
Here is a brief history. She received the first stem cell bone marrow transplant in 2017. But after 10 months, the Leukemia returned. She received immune therapy treatment and another stem cell bone marrow transplant in 2019. Yet after another 10 months the Leukemia once again reared it's ugly head. Based on the results of a bone marrow biopsy in March 2020 the family was told she had two weeks to live. Although she did not want to do another round of this brutal treatment, for her girls, and husband, and family, she sacrificed her life in an attempt to overcome.
Your donations are very much appreciated!
Allen, Husband.
