In Loving Memory of Debbie – Supporting Jay During This Heartbreaking Time ❤️
Hi everyone,
I’ve created this for my daughter Jasmine’s father, Jay, following the heartbreaking loss of his beautiful mum, Debbie, who sadly passed away on October 14th. None of us were prepared for this devastating loss, it’s come as an enormous shock, and our hearts are truly broken.
Debbie was given just 48 hours to live after being in hospital for over a week, but in true Debbie style, she kept fighting for another two weeks. Even as her body was failing, her heart and soul refused to give up. That was just who she was, strong, determined, and full of love right until the very end.
Jay was Debbie’s whole world, and she was his. It had always been just the two of them , she dedicated 37 years of her life to him. She never had a boyfriend, never put herself first, everything she did was for Jay. She was truly an amazing mum, and the bond they shared was something so special.
On the day she passed, Debbie told Jay she loved him that morning. When Jay arrived at her bedside, she somehow reached out, grabbed both his wrists, and gently pulled him, down towards her, which was unbelievable, because she was completely blind. It was as if she knew exactly where he was. She pulled him close, as she give him one last kiss and hug, as she took her final breath. It was one of the most heartbreaking but beautiful moments we will never forget.
Jay has so much pride and didn’t want me to do this, but I can’t let him face the extra worry of funeral costs, while he’s grieving for his mum. He deserves to be able to focus on saying goodbye and remembering her, not stressing about money.
I’m reaching out to friends, family, and anyone kind enough to help. Every donation, no matter how small, will go towards giving Debbie the beautiful, dignified send-off she truly deserves, and help take a little weight off Jay’s shoulders during this devastating time.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, sharing, or donating. Your kindness means more than words can ever say. ❤️
