Deborah and Eduardo Maldonado

Hi, my name is Angel and I'm setting up this fundraiser for my sister Deborah and her husband Eduardo, who were injured on a trip to their land in Colorado in late October/early November.

Both Debbie and Eduardo sustained injuries in an automobile accident; Debbie's right ankle was broken, her left was injured to the point she requires surgery on it, as well. In addition, she sustained other fractures, including to her sternum. Eduardo also sustained major injuries including a broken pelvis.

Neither of them will be able to bear weight for at least three months and they are likely to be in rehab during that time. This means neither can work and they are far from home and family. While they own and in Colorado that they are developing for their retirement years, they currently do not have the land there set up for full-time habitation, much less for the rehabilitation they need at this time.

As you can imagine, bills start piling up immediately in this situation. I started this fundraiser in the hopes we can raise funds to cover what insurance doesn't as they receive care and rehab therapy.
