Debilitating Hernia: Surgery Needed ASAP!

Hey there. My name is Hannah Smith, and I need your help. (Great intro, I know)

 

I've been suffering from a hiatal hernia for the last couple years. It's been manageable, that is until now. In the last few weeks, it's progressed to a severity that can only be corrected with medical intervention.

 

It has become so debilitating that I can't even work. It causes severe reflux, when in turn has caused severe damage to my esophagus. But it is now starting to travel into my lungs and makes breathing difficult, causes dizziness and makes me disoriented. A combo of several kinds of meds, tums and my inhaler were helping, but recently they are doing nothing, and things have become urgent. I can't eat anything without reflux, and I can't even drink water without the possibility of having a flare up. I'm in quite a bit of pain anymore!

 

Now, the reason I need your help first and foremost is because I have no insurance or money to even cover an appointment to assess how bad it is. Most insurances require you to have it for an extended period, but I can't wait much longer to get this fixed. I'm looking at insurance possibilities, but right now I just need the funds to cover my assessment appointment.

 

I need a CT scan, which is thousands of dollars without insurance. Right now I'm just asking for help to cover the costs of my CT scan. I'll update this as we continue to learn more!

 

The situation is serious, and I'm quite scared. I haven't had good health for a few years and I just want to be able to enjoy life again. If you feel compelled to help me out, I appreciate you more than you know. If not, can I ask you to at least share this around? It means the world to me!
