On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Dan's life was tragically changed when he was working on a job trimming trees and fell approximately 20 feet. He suffered serious injuries, including multiple broken ribs, three smashed discs, and worst of all, a spinal cord injury which has left him paralyzed from the waist down. The doctors say he has less than a half percent chance of regaining mobility of his legs.

Dan does not currently have insurance and will require various adaptive equipment to ensure his safety, independence, and overall well-being upon returning from the hospital. Important items that we are hoping to help him with are medical bills, a wheelchair, pressure relief cushions and mattresses, a lift chair, and other adaptive utensils to assist him with daily things like dressing sticks, reachers, and anything else that comes up.
