Debby's update: First of all, my prayers and love go out to the people affected by the tragedy's in January with fires and plane wreckage with so much devastating loss.
An update on my roof crisis continues with storms coming and the cost of repair. The situation is I am a senior with limited resources to fix a very costly roof repair. I have been on top of the roof countless times with tarps to prevent less leakage but still so much damage has happened from recent storms and more in the forecast. I have more fear of going down the latter vs up. I have been so grateful for the donations thus far, and have put to good use by getting a roof permit, and getting necessary items I've needed to prevent more leakage. I would be so grateful for your continued support. Thank you and God bless.
My dear friend Debby is living a nightmare with her roof caved in and now leaking into her home. She's been up every night until 2:00 a.m. draining buckets of water because the rain won't let up in Sacramento. She works retail, reports to work at 6:00 a.m. on her feet all day. She just turned 67 years old. Her roof is flat built in the 1940s and is in need of a new roof. Let me tell you a little about Debby. She is the hardest working person I know and is always doing for others. During the Pandemic she lost her job but refused to file for unemployment. Instead she started two fast food jobs, to make ends meet, on her feet for 16 hour days, while most of us were cozy in our homes. She has a strong work ethic and very proud. She wouldn't want me to do a gofundme for her but enough is enough! I can't stand by and do nothing while her house is being destroyed by rain. Now her electric plugs are not working. Her insurance won't cover maybe bc of age. Won't you please contribute $5, $10 or better a $100 toward our goal for a new roof? She has given so much to others over the years and now it's time it be reciprocated. Thank you for your generous heart.
