I am asking for every one that I know to Please help my dear friend Debbie, This is a women I have been friends with for 25 years, A great friend, a great mom and a great daughter, she woke up one day not feeling good, out of no where, She goes to the doctor, And finds out she has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL).
On 4/20 Debbie's life completly changed, she was told to go to the hospital right away, from Staten Island Hospital, she was brought to Cornell in New York. She was there for 30 days, she finished her 1st part of treatment, and has 5 more to go. Over the next six months she will be receiving treatments. Since they will lower her resistance and may compromise her immune system, Debbie will be out of work for at least 6 months in order to minimize the risk of picking up other germs.
Debbie does not have out patient coverage, No one is ever perpared to get sick and not have the strengh to work , It is hard enough for her to go though her treatment but it is worse that she is worrying about all the bills that are already coming.
She needs all the help she can get right now, And all of you that know Debbie, knows she is always the first one to help any of us when we have needed her. She has a very long road to recovery, I just want it to be as easy as possible for her. Iwant her to concentrate on getting better with out the hardship of worrying about her bills .I love her with all my heart.
