Debbie Barnes Gilbert Multiple Myeloma Medical Treatment Fund – $200K
A few months ago my sister-in-law Debbie Gilbert was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a rare form of cancer formed by malignant plasma cells found in bone marrow. Debbie has been going through treatment for the past 4 months while continuing to work. At the end of October, Debbie will be going to OHSU Hospital in Portland Oregon where she will receive intense chemotherapy to prepare for an Autologous Stem cell transplant. She will be in the hospital for at least one month then has to stay within 20 minutes of the hospital through the end of December.
This treatment will be a very long and difficult one, but Debbie is determined to stay positive.
We all know Debbie as a loyal, caring friend and a hard worker. Now, Debbie needs our help to get her through the surgery and healing process. I am setting up this fund for Debbie so that we, her many friends and co-workers, can help her with the medical bills, relocation cost and other expenses that are piling up.
Please join me in helping Debbie and her family raise the money they need to get her through this physically, emmotionally and financially demanding treatment. We are hopeful that this first transplant attempt will be successful but the possibility of additional treatments may be necessary to send this insidious cancer into remission. Your donations and support are greatly appreciated!
Sincere Aloha,
Jody Feiteira Gilbert
