Debbie Pine underwent a double heart bypass surgery in November 2018.  Although the bypass surgery was successful, a series of ongoing setbacks has resulted in her being transferred to Cedars Sinai in LA for a repair of a heart valve. This valve has deteriorated and needs to be repaired/replaced. One of her related issues is kidney failure which is requiring dialysis several times per week.  The doctors at Bakersfield Heart felt that Cedars Sinai,  which is world renowned, would be the best place for Debbie to receive her treatment and care.  Patrick is staying with Debbie in LA and is incurring significant out pocket of expenses for temporary housing and commuting.  Upon release from Cedars Sinai, Debbie will be staying at an in-patient rehabilitation center for 3 to 6 months.  While Debbie has very good hospitalization insurance coverage, her ongoing and long term out of pocket care expenses coupled with Patrick's travel expenses will be very high.
