Debbie Hall's Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Debbie was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of eight years old. She lost her life to this horrible disease unexpectedly at the young age of 65.

During her final extended stay in the hospital, she endured two leg amputations, dialysis, and multiple cardiac arrests, which left behind a very heartbroken family.

We’ve witnessed incredible medical advancements throughout the years. For example, we’ve seen self-administered insulin shots several times a day transform into the use of an insulin pump. The countless finger sticks to test blood sugars evolve to a sensor worn under the arm that only needs to be changed every two weeks.

Not only Debbie; but also her father, daughter, and grandson have Type 1 Diabetes. Medical advancements are being made daily and we have hope for the future.

Please consider donating to Debbie’s Memorial Fund to help with medical expenses. Any unused funds will be donated to the American Diabetes Association. Feel free to share this message.

In loving memory of Debra Kay Hall who passed away at age 65 with her family by her side on March 21, 2021. Debbie was born on July 21, 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Earl and Helen Fugett. She loved helping others, even when she couldn’t, she did it anyway. She loved her family fiercely and insisted on weekly family dinners, celebrating every holiday and birthday together to make them special, and had always been the center of our family. Debbie loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and music. Debbie, like her mother, played the piano. She sang along as her brother Doug, son Jeremy and grandson Kurtis played guitar while her husband Jack accompanied with his harmonica. She also loved playing Scrabble with her mother and daughter. She never missed a year sending out birthday and Christmas cards, as well as the occasional Thank you cards, always signed with her signature, drawn-on smiley face. Her heart was full of love for God, family, and friends.

Debbie is an inspiration for health, strength, and endurance and was the strongest woman I’ve ever known. She will be greatly missed!

Debbie is preceded in death by her father, Earl Fugett. She is survived by her mother, Helen Abney. Her siblings; Diana, Doug, Greg, Donna, Randy, and David; her husband, Jack Hall, and their two children, Jeremy and Jody; her grandchildren, Kurtis and Aiden; double first niece and nephew, Erin and Jared; and a large family of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and her first great-grandchild on the way, Elaina Lynn, to whom she couldn’t wait to meet, due on May 10, 2021.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family would gratefully appreciate donations to help with medical expenses and Debbie’s Memorial Fund.

With gratitude,
The Hall Family
