Debbie Grecco Ford
Debbie is my Momma. She has been fighting Multiple Sclerosis (MS) since 2004. Anyone that knew her knows that she was a strong and independent woman. MS got her down but she never gave up. For those that don’t know, my Momma is at the end and we’re preparing for what’s to come after with fulfillment of her wishes.
She went to play poker on Saturday and it was a normal day…and sometime during the night/morning she suffered a brain bleed while she was sleeping. I tried to wake her for her to take her meds and she opened her eyes but I could instantly tell something was wrong. The lights were on but nobody was home. I called 911 and we went via ambulance with lights and sirens trying to get there as quickly as possible. They did a CT scan and found the hemorrhage. The neurological surgeon had the scan repeated ann hour later and the hemorrhage had doubled in size.
my mother has a DNR and never wanted to be on life support. The surgeon stated that IF she survived the surgery…at best would be vegetive. We decided against surgery. She was taken off the ventilator (that was placed for the CT due to the medications they needed to administer to figure out what was happening). She is currently stable however she will pass soon. She is being transferred to Hospice.
She was on disability and didn’t have assets or money saved. I’ve had some of her friends ask about a go fund me to help. If you feel you’d like to donate to help me pay for the necessities needed I created this fundraiser and I’m thankful for anything. Simply sharing is appreciated. Please also pray she stays comfortable and at peace as she passes.
Love, Lisa Tillman
