Debbie Fordham's Memory Leaf

After a very turbulent few years of loss and trauma mum was finally ready to start getting on the mend and enjoying her retirement. This was very cruelly cut short after her cancer returned. Unfortunately this time around, despite another massive surgery, her cancer couldn't be controlled. Mum was due to start chemo in the last week's of her life but never made it to that point. Her last wish was to be taken under the care of St Giles, something she achieved. The care and dignity these wonderful people have given mum and us is absolutely paramount and we couldn't have asked for better for this absolutely wonderful lady. She was treatment with such respect and love from the wonderful staff. In mums memory I have set up this fundraiser in order to buy her a leaf on the memory tree St Giles Hospice. All money raised will go to the hospice and hopefully give as many people, along with their families the love and support that my mum received at the end of her life. Each leaf lasts a year and I would love if she could have her leaf up for 5 years. This is about remembering mum and also supporting the unbelievably amazing work these people do. The hospice costs over £10m per year to run and two thirds of this comes from charity donations in many forms.

Mum touched a lot of people in her life and I know she would be very proud and happy if this can be achieved.
