If you have ever met Debbie Cox, or her husband Bobby, you know they’d never ask for a thing but they’d both be the first to offer help anytime there was a need.  In fact, if you have known either of them for very long they have probably extended a helping hand to you. Now is your chance to give back.  On December 23, 2021 Debbie tested positive for Covid, at the time it was believed to be the Omicron variant. By December 26 she was taken to the Emergency Room. Her oxygen levels were critically low and she was admitted to the Covid Isolation ICU at Baptist Hospital.  Her oxygen levels continued to decline and Debbie was placed on a ventilator December 29. She remained in Covid Isolation ICU until January 12, 2021.  On that day she was moved to a LTACH, Select Specialty, where they will continue to wean her off the ventilator and begin therapy to help her recover from the aftermath that Covid has left behind. Through her circumstances God has awoken an army of prayer warriors! We believe that He will continue to carry her through and be her strength and her peace. 

There is no way to determine the length of her stay or the amount of rehabilitation that will be required. 

While they do have medical insurance, there are many unknowns about the coverage of day-to-day occurrences. One thing we know for sure is that medical bills do quickly mound. 

Think about what these people have done for you. 

Maybe Debbie altered your wedding dress, or stitched up a repair for you, maybe she fed you or let you sleep peacefully as you napped on her couch (I hear that is a popular place). 

Maybe Bobby helped you trouble-shoot a mechanical issue or rebuilt your engine, maybe he got you back on the road again when your car wasn’t drivable.  

Chances are if any of these apply to you, they did these deeds without taking a dime because that is who they are. This is your chance to give back, repay the deed.  

The main request that the family has continued to ask for since the beginning is YOUR PRAYERS. Please keep sending them up. The Lord hears our cries.
