The Cooper family is asking for your help! Our sister in law, Debbie Cooper, suffered a stroke last November after receiving her long awaited kidney transplant at Albany Med Hospital. The last 10 months have been long with many ups & downs. Tons of triumphs and struggles., not only for Debbie, but also for her husband & their two daughters Haley & Taylor.
Debbie is one of the strongest fighters we have ever met. She has had Type 1 Diabetes since childhood and thru her life, battled constantly with her health. She has always rallied and pushed forward. This is no different. After being told by doctors she would never communicate again, she has proved them all WRONG! She is able to walk with help, participate in conversations, laugh, cry, and relay what she needs to those around her.
Her primary care giver is her husband Gordon with their daughters, when they aren't in school. Gordon isn't able to leave Debbie alone to go to work and bringing in help is very expensive. And with the medical bills piling up, needing home health care and just plain old surviving, it's time to ask for some financial help.
ALL donations will only be withdrawn by Gordon Cooper ONLY to pay the mounting medical bills from Debbie's numerous and lengthy hospital stays, Her transplant drugs and other medications, and continued care as she cannot be unattended or left alone.
Thank you from all of us Cooper's who need her back to living her best life possible.
