This fund has been set up by Rod and Deb's friends with the proceeds going directly to Rod to aid in raising a family without his partner by his side.
In the early hours of July 10, our much loved friend Deb Case passed away in her sleep. There was no warning, she was taken from us far too young at age 39.
This sudden and devastating loss has hit all of those who knew Deb, but none more than her loving husband and three beautiful children.
We would like to show Rod and family our unconditional love and support by alleviating some of the financial pressure that it takes to manage the cost of living and caring for three young children - Mason 11, Leilani 9 and Levi 6 at the most difficult time imaginable in their lives.
We are reaching out to those who knew Deb and were touched by her love for life and may want to support her family in some small way financially at this difficult time.
Deb will always be remembered for her incredible warmth, her sparkly blue eyes, her sense of humour, her ability to make time for absolutely everybody, to make them feel special, encouraged and loved. Her children were the light of her life, she was so immensely proud of them, to know they will grow up without their mum would have broken her heart. We can't give that back to them but we can take the day to day financial burden away from Rod in the short term so he can hold his babies tight. She was the love of his life.
Deb was a daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend and a child psychologist. She left a legacy behind with her work and the positive impact she made on many, many lives. She was kind and selfless and gave so much, but now her family needs us and they deserve the world.
Rod is the most kindhearted man we know, to think his partner in life and the mother of his children has been taken away from him so young is an unimaginable loss to those close as well as to theIr broader community. We can’t take Rod's pain away but we can try to help make their day to day needs be met with some ease.
