Anyone who has met my Godmother, Debbie Bowe, has been touched by her in one way or another. She has an incredible spirit, a loving heart,  and leaves a lasting impression. Very suddenly and unexpectedly, it was discovered that Debbie has a form of lung cancer that has spread, resulting in 2 moderate to large-sized malignant tumors in her brain. Because this type of lung cancer, when spread to the brain, is generally difficult to treat with radiation and chemotherapy alone, Debbie is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove the tumors. Once Debbie has recovered from brain surgery, her team of doctors recommend additional treatments, such as chemotherapy, to treat the lung cancer at the source. Her family and friends are thankful that the illness has been identified and a plan is in place, but are asking for donations that can assist with massive medical bills that will incur quickly from hospital stays, surgery, and ongoing treatments. Any amount helps and is greatly appreciated on behalf of a woman who means so much to so many people.
