Debbie Bujara's Legacy

Donation protected
With deepest sadness we announce the passing of Debbie Bujara at Saint Peter’s Hospital on December 27th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her husband Paul, of 43 years, her son Mike (Christine) and daughter Kellie.

Debbie was a Child and Youth Counsellor with the Halton District School Board for over 30 years and touched the lives of the many students and families she worked with and advocated for.  In her memory, we would like to organize the planting of a tree in her name at her home school of Oakwood Public School as well as a stone Buddy Bench  to help continue to foster kindness and empathy in the kids at Oakwood she was so passionate about helping.  Buddy Benches start at $850 for basic wood, and increase depending on features added.  Our goal is to purchase and plant a tree in Debbie's name, put in place a stone Buddy Bench to continue fostering learning skills in "her" kids and to allocate any remaining funds to areas of Oakwood most in need.

Cremation has taken place, and friends and family are welcome to attend the DONALD V. BROWN FUNERAL HOME , 36 Lake Avenue Dr., Stoney Creek on Saturday January 12th from 2-5 p.m. for a celebration of Debbie’s life.  Notes of sympathy and condolence may be left at www.donaldvbrown.ca
