Deb live!
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Justine. I am the organizer of this page and the linked website to help my friend Deb Wold.
Deb was born with Bartter Syndrome, which is a disease that impacts the kidneys and life potential and expectancy. Click HERE for more information about Bartter Syndrome.
Deb has had one live donor transplant in the past. This transplant gave her time to live and complete many astonishing accomplishments (I.e. Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a dual minor in History and Archaeology), meet the love of her life, visit friends and family). Unfortunately, she will not be able to complete her current Master of Arts program in Public History with a food research focus with her health condition as well as the associated medical expenses.
Last February, Deb had an unexpected hospitalization at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. During this visit, she found out that her transplanted kidney from 2009 is starting to fail. This unexpected expense has really put a burden on her financially.
Any donations would greatly help her wellbeing as her only source of income is her Graduate Research Assistantship as she is a full-time graduate student. Any extra donations will go towards future lab work, doctors appointments, and medicines that will monitor her kidney function until the transplant can be completed.
Please, please consider donating to help her continued care as we are doing all we can to aide Deb in getting a donor!! Her dream is to finish her Master or Arts, growing old with her significant other, and continue being a cat mom. Let’s help Deb live out her dreams and then some!
