In the early hours of October 5th, an uninsured driver totaled the new Death Party tour van at about 60mph. Thankfully my band mates weren’t in the van with me at the time. The airbag deployed but didn’t inflate, so I took a steering wheel straight to the chest and face along with a cut in my right arm. If I wasn’t wearing a seat belt, I’d for sure not be here right now. I am feeling extremely sore, but all and all thankful that everyone was alright.
A couple of months ago, I invested nearly 2 years of record sales into this van so we would have something for our upcoming tours and obligations. As a first generation American on my fathers side who grew up in poverty, this was a huge accomplishment for me and something I was extremely proud of. I’m so bummed to have it taken right away from us. I sadly only had liability insurance and the driver at fault didn't have any insurance at all, so we're basically out of luck in this situation. Over my last 10 years of being in touring bands, I've never asked anyone for help even when times were really tough. Given the circumstances and recommendations from multiple people reaching out, I feel this is as good of time as any to reach out to our community for help. That van was suppose to be our livelihood over the next several years and now we are left with no way to tour. If you'd like to help us fund a new van, it would mean the world to us.
Anything at all would help.
Thank you.
