Kevin Hyde passed away recently unexpectedly. We are trying to raise funding so that his son can cover expenses for funeral services and legal services he is going to need to handle.

The actual day of services is set for Friday 10/10/2025 @ Camp Williams in bluffdale, UT.

Kevin grew up in Centerville where he graduated high school. He served two tours in the military in the Air Force in the position of Military Police.

When he came home, he worked at Hill Air Force Base for a while until he left the military. He worked as a police officer under SLC and West Valley for a while. He then transferred to Granite School District where he was an in-house officer at Kearns Jr and Taylorsville HS before he went on patrol.

He became disabled due to several physical injuries and issues sustained in the military and PD. He dealt with a lot mentally. He was in the process of filing for permanent disability through social security.

He became a father while married to Sabrina and he was very involved in his life. Kevin was a family man and loved his entire family.

Kaiden and Sabrina are working with the VA on his funeral arrangements once the coroner is finished.

The VA will cover the majority of expenses and the military honors he is entitled to as a vet and 1st responder.

We have been told the VA doesn't cover the cremation. We will also have extra expenses such as flowers or an urn. There may be other expenses as well until they can sell his house, car, etc.

His son is studying to become a first responder and is doing all he can to take care of this huge task.

Kevin's father Bill is unable to assist us financially at this time as he is on hospice and is being moved into a long-term center.
