Hello all! I’m raising funds to help bring my friend and collaborator Taylor Benjamin's senior thesis short film, "Death of an Icon," to life. This project is the culmination of Taylor's work studying writing and directing at Syracuse University. Taylor has poured her heart into this story, which focuses on the themes of family and sisterhood as it follows two estranged sisters, Danielle and Callie, who must learn to lean on each other after the death of their mother. This project is more than just a film—it's a chance for our team to explore how people process grief and to share a story that might help others feel seen.

Our team is made up of dedicated students, all working together to create something we can be proud of for our honors college thesis. However, filmmaking is not cheap. The funds raised will go directly toward securing filming locations, providing craft services for our cast and crew, and compensating our talented actors. This is highly important to ensure a safe and healthy film environment. We want to ensure everyone involved is supported and that we can deliver a film that reflects the care and effort our team is putting in. We’re working on a tight timeline, with filming scheduled for September 12-14, so every contribution will make a real difference in helping us meet our deadline.
