Two weeks ago a portion of a large tree from a neighbor’s property unexpectedly fell and crushed the Death Grip Donuts truck, causing severe damage and bringing operations to a sudden halt. Thankfully, no one was hurt but the financial impact is overwhelming.
This truck wasn’t just a vehicle; it was the heart of a dream built by Cam and Lainey through years of hard work and community support. While insurance will hopefully cover some of the physical damage, it won’t come close to covering lost wages, new equipment for pop-ups, or the many gaps in getting Death Grip back on the road. And as anyone who’s dealt with insurance knows, the process is long, frustrating, and full of unknowns.
I’ve had the privilege of working for Death Grip Donuts for the last six months, and I can honestly say Cam and Lainey have been everything to me — supportive, passionate, and the kind of people who put their whole heart into what they do. This isn’t just a job, it’s a family and a dream I believe in.
If you’ve ever had a Death Grip donut or seen us grinding at events, markets, or pop-ups, you know the love, hustle, and care that goes into every bite.
Thank you for helping keep the dream alive and for getting us one step closer to being back out there, doing what we love.
