Dean's lung transplant support..
Donation protected
Hello and thank you for reading this. We have started this GoFundMe to support Dean and Debi Lavergne with the expenses associated with Dean's lung transplant. For details about Dean's story and updates please visit Deans Caring Bridge Site
Dean was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive lung disease only months ago. He has been in and out of the hospital for the last two months and today was transported to Banner University Tucson where he will stay until he has a lung transplant. Unfortunately, we are unsure when this will happen, as it is dependent on a donor match. Dean's initial transplant recovery will hopefully only be 2- 3 weeks, but could be longer.
As many of you know Dean is a tremendous man, father, husband and friend. Dean has spent his life in service through law enforcement and serving his community. He is hysterically funny, easy going, clever, hardworking and loves his people. This has been a very difficult experience for Dean and his family, and the outpouring of support and prayers have made all the difference.
Debi learned yesterday she will be moving temporarily to Tucson so she can be with Dean every step of the way. Their kids Kyle and Sarah will also help with trips down to support both of their parents. Due to this diagnosis, both Dean and Debi are no longer working and will now be incurring expenses of second housing, food, transportation and some out of pocket medical bills.
So many people have reached out that we wanted to welcome the financial support to ease the burden. Dean and Debi are deeply appreciative of any support that is offered, and more than anything appreciate your love, friendship and prayers.
We will continue to provide updates through the CaringBridge page. Thank you in advance, I am sending love and gratitude to each of you.
