Dean's Medical Battle: Join Us in Support

Hi friends. This is Melinda Sue, a close friend to Dean and Angela Garrett. I wanted to start this Gofundme to help raise funds for their unexpected medical costs and other necessary expenses.

Dean is an avid car enthusiast and works as an AC technician for a popular company in Central Florida for over 20 years. He has spent decades servicing businesses and homes all over the state. He is the type of guy you can always depend on to help when you need it, no matter what. His wife Angela is exactly the same. They are the ones to help take care of everyone and everything, but now it is their turn to ask for help.

Dean's health concerns started nearly two years ago following a bladder surgery. Since that surgery, he has battled high blood pressure and other health concerns that came along with that. But it wasn't until December 9th 2024 that he realized something was terribly wrong. He went to the doctor and they found that his blood pressure was dangerously high. The nurses struggled in drawing any blood so they tried placing the needle in another location. After drawing a vial, Dean began to immediately feel as though he was going to pass out, and he did. After drawing the blood, they found that his blood pressure had now dropped dangerously low.

Just a few days later, things went from bad to worse. The doctors didn't have any conclusive answers as to what was happening to him. On December 16th, 2024, Dean suffered a mini stroke. He was hospitalized for 4 days, and on the 19th, the doctors discovered he had an aneurysm in the right internal carotid artery approximately two milliliters in diameter. This artery supplies blood to the brain, head, and neck, and this bulge is considered dangerous. They will need to consult a neurologist as soon as possible to find out how to proceed, and to find out if he will need surgery.

Dean has already been out of work for over a month, and can not return to work until he has been released by his doctor, which has led to a shortage of income in their home. Angela has had to remain home to care for him, so she is unable to work now as well. Their living expenses are piling up, and so are their medical bills.
