On Wednesday, September 4, 2019, My 15 month old granddaughter, Deanna Peterson was diagnosed with a rare cancer by the name of Neuroblastoma. Each year only 800 children are diagnosed with this form of cancer (.05% of childhood cases diagnosed in a year). Neuroblastoma is a disease in which cancer cells form in nerve tissue of the adrenal gland, neck, chest, or spinal cord. In Deanna's case, a tumor was found in her lower back/spine.

On Thursday, September 12, 2019, we received good news as the results from the bone biopsy came back negative, meaning it has not spread and she was able to go home. 

Currently, Deanna is receiving chemotherapy in order to shrink the tumors.   Their plan is to have Deanna seen at Sloan Kettering in NYC for a second opinion.  But that will be at a future time. 

This will be a long journey for Deanna and her family.  Tiffany and Chris also have 4 other children at home including a new born to care for.  Chris will need to miss work at times to be at chemotherapy with Tiffany and Deanna.  My daughter and her family will  need some financial help during this difficult time.   Any donation would be greatly appreciated.  A small amount goes a long way.  If your unable to donate prayers are always welcomed.
