Deanna’s cancer treatment and medical expenses

Donation protected

Deanna Walley is 38 years old and has Metastasized stage 4 Cancer. Deanna had her gallbladder removed in July of 2020. The routine biopsy of the gallbladder determined it was malignant, and she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Adenocarcinoma poorly differentiated gallbladder, primary. They removed the lymph nodes surrounding the area of the gallbladder for further testing. She then began a 5.5 months course of chemotherapy. In May 2021, Deanna went for a PET SCAN to assure all of the cancer was gone.  This did not go as we had hoped; and sadly, the cancer was found to have spread to her liver and lymph nodes.  Deanna was referred to a liver specialist and surgery was scheduled to remove the part of the liver that was affected along with lymph nodes and part of the bile duct.  This surgery was on June 22, 2021. However, once surgery began, it was discovered that the cancer had spread to the entire liver, and he was unable to complete the surgery. She was sent home to recover from an unsuccessful surgery and to wait for the next steps in treatment. On July 3, 2021, Deanna went to the emergency room with severe pain in her leg.  The CT Scan found multiple lesions on her spine. She met with her oncologist on July 6, 2021 and was given the most heartbreaking news. Her cancer is incurable, it’s stage 4, and she has 2-3 months life expectancy. If you know Deanna, then you know she is a fighter and isn’t giving up. She has decided to seek further consultation at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Clinic in Houston, Texas. She has already incurred an overwhelming amount of medical expenses over the last year. We are seeking assistance from family and friends to continue to help her fight this battle!!

Deanna has a son (Jeremiah), her parents (Devonda and Henry Walley), a loving boyfriend (Mitchell) and his two precious daughters (Ella and  Amyllia) that she loves like her own. Deanna also has a brother, nephews, aunts, uncles and so many friends that love her dearly and support her in this decision to continue this battle and kick cancer’s butt!

We know God is the Great Physician and is in control. Our faith and trust is in Him. Deanna appreciates you all for your continued love, support and your prayers as this journey continues.
