My name is Christen, and I’d like to share my mom Deanna’s story.
In February 2023, my mom was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 3 small cell lung cancer. After undergoing chemo and radiation, she made incredible progress, reducing the cancer to stage 2. However, during a rescan on October 9th, 2023, we received the devastating news that the cancer had spread to her brain, measuring 7mm x 8mm making her stage 4.
She has bravely endured several rounds of chemo and radiation since then, and she’s about to start her final round on February 3rd, 2025. While she has surpassed the initial prognosis of just 12-14 months, we’ve now exhausted all traditional treatment options. That’s why I’m asking for your help to send my mom to Hope for Cancer in Mexico, where she can receive alternative treatments.
I’m 32, and I have an 11-year-old daughter. More than anything, I want my mom to be there for family milestones—birthdays, holidays, and the day I walk down the aisle. My mom’s parents, my grandparents, are still alive, and no parent should have to outlive their child.
The projected cost for my mom’s treatment after speaking with Hope for cancer is $54,000. While it seems overwhelming, if just 200 people could contribute $270, we could reach our goal and give my mom the chance she deserves.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. My family and I are deeply grateful for any support you can offer, no matter the size.
