Deanna Fetherston

Sometimes God picks his prettiest flowers. On Tuesday afternoon, August 9th, Deanna Fetherston was involved in a fatal single-vehicle accident on her way to visit her daughter in Nebraska. She was driving on Interstate 84 when she drove into the median and rolled multiple times. She was wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

Deanna was the best mom one could ever ask for. She always put others before herself, no matter the sacrifice, and did it with so much joy. I never saw her without a smile. She was the brightest light in my life and so many others. She raised my sister and me all by herself and worked long hours to provide while helping out at the church and with friends. Whether being a children's school teacher or helping with the homeless ministry, my mom showed me how to be the best person I could be.
