DeAngelo Parker needs our support

Donation protected
The call came one cold Sunday evening while De’Angelo Parker, his wife Nicole and his entire Mobile, AL, family were in full 2020 Mardi Gras mode. “Mr. Parker, we have a kidney for you,” the voice on the other end said almost casually. It took a minute for it to sink in. It had been a nearly 20-year battle against Kidney Disease since his initial diagnosis in 2001 and 8.5 years of three times per week dialysis treatments while on the organ donor list waiting for a match. “The call” meant a decision had to be made quickly of either accepting the donor kidney or allowing his new wife to donate hers, as they had spent the past year getting approved and preparing to do. While the rest of the world yelled at passing floats to throw them something good, the decision was made to accept the donated organ and make the mad dash back to Atlanta to receive his “something good”.

During De’Angelo’s more than decade battle with this disease and accompanying health issues, he never murmured or complained. Instead, he humbly went about his business and enjoyed life in true De’ Parker fashion. In fact, many of you may not have even guessed he was in need of an organ or every day facing a potentially life-threatening health situation. He wore it well and continues to do so today. But he still NEEDS OUR HELP! The surgery was performed on Monday, February 27, 2020, and it went extremely well, but the medicines to help sustain the organ are more expensive than you can imagine. He would never ask himself, so his family, friends and loved ones are rallying together to GIVE OUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT to De’Angelo and the Parker familyduring this critical time. He has been through enough for far too long. LET’S MAKE THE LAST LEG OF THIS JOURNEY A LITTLE EASIER FOR OUR FRIEND/FAMILY MEMBER!

All contributions are greatly appreciated and will help to alleviate any financial burdens (medical expenses, medicines, lost income) the Parkers may incur during this critical time of recovery.

There is no donation too small. If you are unable to donate, please continue to pray and cover De’Angelo and Nicole.

They would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous outpour of love and support shown by many of you already.

Love & many blessings,

Family & Friends of De’Angelo & Nicole Parker
