Linda Darlene Blevins-Garrett, lovingly known as “Deane” or “Dee,” went home to be with the
Lord on August 1st, 2025, at 10:45 AM. She was 65 years old.
Born on September 26, 1959, Linda was a lifelong resident of Morristown, Tennessee. She
worked for many years in the education system as a special education teaching assistant,
where she poured her heart into helping students grow and succeed.
Known by everyone for her unforgettable cooking, Linda catered countless family reunions,
church events, and community gatherings. Her food brought people together, and most folks
who ever sat at one of her tables still talk about her dishes to this day.
Linda was hard-headed in the best way — strong, sharp, and full of fire. She had a quick sense
of humor and a deep love for the people around her. She worried more about others than she
ever did about herself, always making sure everyone else was taken care of. She also had a
soft spot for animals, especially her beloved Doberman, Lula.
She is survived by her husband, Pierce Garrett; her children, Daniel Blevins and Hillary Blevins;
and her brother, Joseph Reed. She leaves behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and stories that
will continue to be shared by everyone who knew her.
She was deeply loved and will be missed more than words can say.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10th, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with the funeral
service beginning at 6:00 PM.

Eldest Daughter p.s. Thank you so much. She was my best friend and if you know me, you know how much I talk about my mom. I'm grateful to have people and a support system that can help lift my family up (along with God) during these times. I lost my job at the beginning of the month, and have been job hunting since then - so really, truly - thank you.
