Aloha! Dean Campos will be flying to San Francisco for his second kidney transplant at the end of the month. He was diagnosed with kidney disease when he was 16 yrs old and had his first transplant in 1988. When that kidney failed 4 years ago, he had to start dialysis again. We received news that there is a match donor for Dean and we need to be in SF in 2 weeks. We feel truly blessed that God has given Dean another opportunity to continue to live aloha.
You would never know that Dean was sickly because everytime you're with him, he would always make you laugh, and basically, make you feel good. Whether he made you laugh, played you a song on his uke, or even dropped in on you on a Kewalo wave, please show your aloha as we humbly ask for kokua to help with medical and living expenses for our month plus stay in SF.
The surgery will take place on November 1st and we ask that you keep our ohana in your prayers for without faith, we could not have gotten this far.
We want to thank our family and friends for your support, whether you gave blood, completed medical exams, gave words of support, laughed, cried, prayed and/or donated, our hearts go out to you.
Until we meet again...a hui kaua! God Bless...Ke Akua pu!
Mahalo nui,
Dean, Corinna and Kapono
