Hi, I’m Lexy, Dean’s wife. We were all devastated by the sudden passing of Dean in October 2023.
Dean loved Hatfield Heath where we lived, he ran his business from and was a keen member of the community- mainly keeping the pubs in business and occasionally turning up for a cricket match!
After 30 years in city banking his semi-retirement in antiques was the happiest I’d know him. His daily commute was walking across the heath to his barn of curiosities.
I recently noticed that the bridge across the ditch has come into disrepair, and approached our local parish council to offer to repair this bridge and dedicate it to Dean. They have agreed so we’ve designed a beautiful bridge to have a lasting memory to honour Dean.
Many of Dean’s close friends are skilled tradesmen and are volunteering their skills and many others have asked to contribute- so I’m setting up this page so that if anyone would like to contribute to the materials and a fund for future maintenance to be passed to the parish then we would be extremely grateful.
Details of the official opening ceremony to be shared in due course - expected June 2025.
many thanks from Lexy, Jake and Ethan xxx
