In the early morning of Saturday, February 11th, Dean Roan was found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. After admission to Sutter Delta Memorial Medical Center, he had to be resuscitated once. In order to protect his brain and organs, his doctors began the process of body cooling. However, once they began re- warming his body his pupils remained non-reactive to light and he was non-responsive to pain. Sadly, CT scans revealed brain swelling, a blood clot, and no brain function. At this point, his daughter Krystiana made the heartbreaking decision to turn off life support. On Monday, February 13th, at 5:27 pm, Dean passed away at 5:27 PM at the age of 58.
Dean was a fun loving guy who was born and raised in San Francisco and grew up in Bernal Heights with his sisters Delena and Yvonne.

Dean graduated from Mission High School, class of 1976. Over the course of his life, Dean worked at McDonald's, Burger King, Crocker Bank and the U.S. Postal Service.
Dean was the loving father of 3 beautiful children, David, Krystiana and Jonathan.

Dean had been struggling with cardiac problems for the past 12 years and eventually grew too ill to work. He retired at the age of 46 and began to collect SSI Disability.
Dean's children created this GoFundMe page to help with his final expenses. It was Dean's wish to be cremated followed by HAPPY CELEBRATION of his life.
The funds collected from this campaign will be needed within the next 2 weeks.

Dean's only daughter Krystiana is responsible for his funeral arrangements and final expenses. Services will be planned in San Francisco and will be announced soon.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
- David Roan, Krystiana Roan, and Jonathan Roan
