Dean Needs Your Help After Dirt Bike Injury
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is James Slaughter, and I'm reaching out on behalf of our friend and fellow motocross club member, Glenn, whose young son, Dean, was recently injured while doing what he loves: riding his dirt bike. Dean, just 4 years old, rides alongside his dad and has recently moved up to a real electric dirt bike with suspension—he was thrilled!
On Sunday, November 10th, Dean had his first experience on the track with the kids' group, and he did great. But then, tragedy struck. As Dean was getting back up from a fall, another rider accidentally collided with him, leaving Dean unconscious and bleeding. EMTs responded and called in a helicopter to transport him to Albany Med, where he is still being treated as of today, November 12th, with head and neck injuries.
Dean’s parents need to be by his side through this difficult time, yet the demands of daily life—work, bills, and caring for Dean's little sister—loom heavy. The medical expenses will be substantial, and the family needs our support.
In the motocross community, we understand that tough times call for strong, compassionate hearts. Glenn, who many of you know as the voice calling out your riding numbers and welcoming you to the gate at Diamondback MX, has given his time and dedication to our community, and now it's our turn to give back.
Please join us in showing the Currey family how much we care. Every contribution, large or small, will make a difference in supporting them through this journey. Let’s rally around Glenn, Dean, and their family to ease their burden and remind them that they are not alone.
Thank you, and God bless. Wishing you all a safe and joyful holiday season.
