This is not easy to share and it has been an unspoken family matter for a long time but it is time to let everyone know that my father Dean Kalahar is at the end of his life. He has been battling cancer for 3 years now and will not be with us much longer.

It was important for my mom and I to let people know in case they want to pray, honor and celebrate his life. He has so many past students, and friends and family who would want to know and honor him.

My mom has been his caregiver, support and love for over 38 years and I know this is an extremely difficult time for her (for both of us).

As a way to support my mom during this time and as an honor and tribute to my dad and the many lives he has touched and for all the people that know and love him, I have started a go fund me to help with the costs of my dad’s medical bills and celebration of life.

My mom would never be one to ask for help but if I could take away the burden of the bills that have added up, for my mom, over the last three years, I would do it today!

Any donation or even posting a great story or memory about my dad would be amazing and greatly appreciated.

Please respect my moms privacy at this time and any questions/messages please come to me as she continues to be by his side with the time they have left together.
