** UPDATE:
I'm heartbroken to share that our precious dad and Papa passed away on 12/18. While we are happy that he is no longer in pain, we are devastated to lose him. When I say that he was the best guy out there, I really mean it. Couldn't find a more generous, happy, LOVING man, and I am so happy that we called him ours. There aren't enough words to express how grateful we are for all the love, support, and donations from y'all. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - truly. https://www.floydmortuary.com/obituary/Dean-Israel?fbclid=IwAR0B68wuXffBxRfsiwEKsYDQzRNCt_mvn9FALWl59kdy07a-tE5qddbNFtM **
Hi friends and family! It's Dean's family here, asking for a little bit of help in helping Dean with a big battle he's facing.

Hi friends and family! It's Dean's family here, asking for a little bit of help in helping Dean with a big battle he's facing.
Around Thanksgiving, Dean started to feel ill and chalked it up to a seasonal cold. After a quick trip to urgent care, Dean found out he had a case of walking Pneumonia! That pesky Pneumonia liked Dean so much that it decided to stay, even through many rounds of antibiotics.
Dean needed the pros to help him fight the Pneumonia and booked a stay at Spartanburg Regional. After a few bumps in the road (including some fluid build up and a very rude blood clot in his left arm), the doctors discovered some cancer hanging out in his lungs.
We are still fighting off the Pneumonia and maybe some additional infections that are causing Dean to be very weak. Even though he's a fighter, Dean has decided to fight this battle at home, surrounded by his loved ones.
If you can contribute any donations to help go towards his medical bills and at-home equipment, we'd be so grateful.
Dean's proudest joys in life are the friends and family in his life that he holds so close to his heart. He (along with his family) appreciates each and every one of you and your support.
