Support Dean Goddard in his fight against PNH

Dean is facing the biggest challenge of his life after being diagnosed with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) with aplastic anemia, a rare and life-threatening blood disorder.

For those who know Dean, he's a hardworking family man who values his wife, Katie, and their one-year-old son, Wes. Sadly, this diagnosis has turned their world upside down, and the emotional toll has been enormous as his family watches Dean’s health decline, affecting his ability to enjoy his family.

PNH is an extremely rare blood disorder in which the immune system attacks and destroys its own red blood cells and platelets. Aplastic anemia is a life-threatening condition caused by the bone marrow's failure to produce new blood cells and platelets. This combination results in severe chronic fatigue, chronic pain, weakness, and shortness of breath, and it puts Dean at high risk for potentially deadly blood clots and organ damage.

Since his diagnosis, Dean has had multiple hospital admissions and has received countless blood transfusions to stabilize his condition temporarily. Ultimately, Dean requires a bone marrow transplant, which is currently scheduled for December. This process includes Dean traveling to the transplant center, receiving chemotherapy before the transplant, and being hospitalized or living near the hospital for at least 100 days.

We are seeking support to cover costs not fully paid by insurance. Your donations will help with his out-of-pocket medical expenses, travel, and lodging during his recovery from the bone marrow transplant, as well as compensate for his wage loss due to treatment and illness.

Dean and his family face a challenging journey, but we know they don’t have to face it alone. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps reduce this huge financial burden and lets Dean, Katie, and Wes concentrate on recovery.
If you can't donate, please share this campaign with your friends and family. Your generosity and kindness mean everything to us.
